Must See

Northern Lights One of nature's most incredible sights appear with solar wind particles collide with air molecules in the earth's atmosphere transferring their energy into light. Displays can vary in intensity, from a glowing curtain of greenish light dancing in the distance to a spectacular, multi coloured fushion stretching across the sky.

Hallgrimskirkja Church The tallest and most striking church in Iceland.

The Pearl Used for heating the city. Just under the dome is one of Reykjavik's best known restaurants. Step outside on a clear day and enjoy a 360 degree view of the city and the wonderful surroundings.

Thjodminjasafn The national museum of Iceland. The exhibits describe everything you could possible want to know about the history of this fabulous city.

Must Do

Take a whale watching a puffin cruise on Reykjavik's beautiful bay. Watch out for these magnificent giant mammals and the comic colourful birds.

Spend a leisurely afternoon at the Blue Lagoon, the milky-turquoise blue water spreads over a huge area surrounded by dark lava hills.

Take a stroll along the banks of Tjornin (City Pond). Admire the excellent views of the city to the east, while a shooting fountain casts a rainbow over the scene on sunny days. Watch out for Waterfowl as they linger on the shore hoping for titbits!
