The birth place of Mozart a 3-bedroom apartment, Getreidegasse is now a museum, as is Mozart's residence on the River Salzach.

Salzburg Cathedral is a spectacular sight. This 17th century baroque cathderal is the site of the baptism of Mozart.

Spend the afternoon at Hellbrunn Palace, a baroque villa of palatial style. One of the main attractions at Hellbrunn Park is the pavilion in which Leisl and Franz first met in the Sound of Music.

Find a traditional coffee shop in Mozartplatz and order an Austrian coffee and a slice of Salzburg Nockerl.

Salzburg is like a real candy land! You will always find a delicious meal or treat on your plate that resembles a work of art. If something savoury is more appealing try a brettljause (cold platter) consisting of cheese, smoked bacon and fresh bread.
