Food and Drink
With more than 180 nationalities you can be sure that you will be spoilt by the limitless choice of restaurants in Dubai. Whether it's a magical dining experience at Burj Al Arab's signature restaurant, Al Mahara, or a burger at one of the many fast-food outlets in the malls, Dubai has something to suit every palate and budget. Some of the best award-winning chefs have established world-class restaurants in the city's top hotels and offer an outstanding dining experience. The Walk at Jumeirah Beach Residence is Dubai's first open-air shopping and dining venue and is located behind the beach hotels along Jumeirah Beach. It is home to many high street stores and some wellknown food and beverage outlets. Dubai's nightlife fires up in the evening with fruity cocktails at an outdoor terrace bar on Sheikh Zayed Road or unwind with champagne at a classy bar in one of the hotels along Jumeirah Beach.
Shopping
Shopping is a major attraction in Dubai and you can buy everything you ever wished. Dubai is home to the largest mall in the world, the Dubai Mall, which is the size of 50 football pitches and houses some world-class attractions, including an Olympic-size ice rink and an aquarium. Why not try your skills in haggling at one of the traditional souks in the city? These are the best places to track down souvenirs and gifts. The Deira covered souk in Naif Road sells textiles, spices, kitchenware and henna, while the Spice Souk, despite its name, sells an array of trinkets, rugs and glassware. Take advantage, too, of Dubai’s duty-free status and save money on items such as imported electrical appliances and luxury goods. Gold is the main product that everyone goes to Dubai for, price tags range from just a few pounds up to thousands.
Where To Stay
Dubai has a wide selection of premium hotels ranging from majestic properties with a Middle Eastern theme to elegant hotels offering only the very best in service and amenities. Dubai City is the business hub of Dubai and houses some of the best shopping areas and souks. The Palm Island is a new innovative project that has taken over 3 years to build and now houses a vast array of top class hotels and adventure parks. Jumeirah Beach is one the most soughtafter locations in Dubai and boasts an array of high-class hotels all with great beach access, service and their own special features.
