For something more traditional, look in the Old Town for sweets, jewellery, porcelain, handblown glass, antiques and artworks.

- BLED AND BOHINJ VALLEY From Ljubljana visit the world-famous Alpine resort with its picturesque island and castle. Followed by a visit to Bohinj, the main resort in the nearby Triglav National Park. Only Bohinj Valley from Bled is a half-day tour.
- BLED SIGHTSEEING Visit the main attractions including entrance to the castle and a boat trip to the island.
- JULIAN ALPS Take a day trip to the Triglav National Park, which forms a large part of this Alpine range dominated by Triglav Mountain, Slovenia's highest peak.
Be sure to experience the open market between the Dragon and Triple bridges, especially on a Saturday morning for an authentic slice of life in the city.
