Turkey...
The fantastic country of Turkey features wonderful beach resorts, sparkling blue seas, never-ending sunshine and a staggeringly beautiful coastline. The people are also incredibly friendly and the food is out of this world. It is also a land with a magnificent past, and everywhere you turn, you stumble across relics of ancient civilisations. If you get bored of the beach there are many places of interest to visit including the Lycian rock tombs at Dalyan and the hot springs of Pamukkale, a UNESCO World Heritage site. There's also much more to experience in Turkey, like visiting archaeological sites, taking a trip to a hamam for a traditional Turkish bath, an evening of belly dancing, drinking raki, eating real Turkish delights or haggling for a wide range of bargains, from leather to jewellery.
