Il Duomo The world's largest Gothic Cathedral is a must-see and is located right in the heart of the city. See the underground chamber or visit on a sunny day for the best view of the large interior lit by colourful rays from the windows. 

Galleria Vittorio Emmanuele The ornate ad elegant glass-domed shopping arcade known as Milan's 'living room'.

If you have a head for heights, take the lift to the roof of the Duomo to see the gothic carvings and the fabulous views across Milan.

Visit the Pinacoteca di Brera museum in the cultural Brera district, home to some of the finest Italian Renaissance paintings.

Food & Drink

Typical Milanese dishes are risotto all Milanese, rice simmered in a saffron-flavoured stock, and the traditionally heavier dishes such as polenta and salamis are all considered as specialities of this city.
