Holidays to Marrakech

If you're looking for a holiday with plenty of culture, exploration and stunning views then a flight to Marrakech could be just the ticket. There are many sites in Marrakech that are sure to impress visitors from all backgrounds.

Marrakech has a magnificent mosque - the Koutoubia Mosque which can't be missed with its 203 ft tall minaret. Other places to visit include the labyrinth of streets, Saadian tombs - dated from 1557, the Mellah - once the largest Moroccan Jewish quarter and numerous museums including the Islamic Art Museum, the Dar Si Said Museum and the Marrakech Museum. There are also many shops where visitors can buy anything from cosmetics to jewellery and slippers to leather items. Alternatively, why not visit the central square - Djemaa el Fna also know as the `Red City' from the red clay used to build surrounding houses. Visitors can watch fire-eaters, sorcerers and musicians - a truly magical experience! Marrakech also has places to relax such as Ourika, a peaceful valley of waterfalls and green streams. This is also a popular location for the locals, where they can escape the heat from the city centre.
