Accommodation
Compartments have beautifully decorated mahogany panels, with marquetry patterns, such as Art Deco floral and leaf patterns. In daylight compartments have a banquette sofa and small table, converting to one upper and one lower bed at night, equipped with washing facilities and 24hr steward service.
Dining
The Venice-Simplon-Orient Express operates with three individually decorated Restaurant Cars. An array of cuisines is on offer and the Maitre d' will endeavour to seat passengers in a different car every time, allowing for every awe-inspiring car to be experienced.

Life Aboard
The Bar Car is open all day and late into the night and a resident pianist plays during the journey before and after meals. The Bar Car serves a selection of soft drinks and alcoholic beverages, cocktails and champagne. The Collection Venice Simplon-Orient-Express is a range of exclusively designed gifts and is usually situated on the Lalique Restaurant Car. Quite simply, 'you can never be overdressed on the Orient-Express', and guests are asked to meet the minimum requirements of a suit and tie for gentlemen and an equivalent standard for ladies. At other times, smarter day wear is the custom.
